TypeServer Source Code Site Kit
The TypeServer Source Code Site Kit provides the full C, C++ and assembly language source code to TypeServer. The source kit includes the TypeServer source code CD with C, C++ and assembly language source files, plus make and project files for recompiling TypeServer libraries from source code. The TypeServer Source Code is helpful in many situations:
- Build Separate Configurations for Development, Production and Debug
The TypeServer source code includes options for building three library types: "Development", "Production" and "Debug":
- "Development" libraries are included with the
TypeServer Developer Kit.
These libraries incorporate expanded error checking and reporting to aid in
quickly isolating application programming errors during development.
(Expanded error checking adds overheads, however,
both in increased size and somewhat slower performance.)
- "Production" libraries are provided with the TypeServer Source Code Site Kit.
These libraries are built with extended error checking turned off, and optimize
TypeServer for maximum performance and smaller size.
- "Debug" libraries can be built to enable source level debugging of the internal TypeServer source code itself.
- "Development" libraries are included with the
TypeServer Developer Kit.
These libraries incorporate expanded error checking and reporting to aid in

- Trim Size - Remove Unused Features
TypeServer is highly optimized but supports a staggering array of features and capabilities. In reality, few applications utilize all of the capabilities available in TypeServer. By changing #define's within the source code configuration header files, you can remove selected features that your application doesn't use.
- Internal Support and Compliance Testing
With the source code in hand, in-house developers have full access and documentation to TypeServer's operational design. Source code may also be used for performance and reliability testing in critical applications such as medical, avionic and military.
- New Platforms
TypeServer is written in standard ANSI C, and as such, is portable to new operating systems and processors that Metagraphics may not directly support.
- Security
In the event Metagraphics and/or a portion of the U.S. West Coast falls into the Pacific Ocean due to a major earthquake, tsunami, meteor strike or other untimely event, you retain a complete working copy of the TypeServer source code for security and backup purposes.
Site License
The TypeServer Source Code is provided with a site license permitting
use of the source code and associated libraries by all licensed TypeServer developers
(at least one TypeServer Developer Kit is
prerequisite for obtaining the TypeServer Source Code Site Kit).
Royalty Free!
The TypeServer Source Code Site Kit license allows you to distribute
your completed application totally Royalty-Free!
